NARMS Announces Rebranding
Published by JCB on May 06 2013Tom Caddell, executive director of NARMS International announced the rebranding of the 17-year-old non-profit organization.
Effective Feb. 1, NARMS International became World Alliance for Retail Excellence & Standards. The member-supported non-profit will provide the "first ever" accredited retail certification program based on a code of standards, policies and procedures. In addition, the organization will provide workforce education and training, an enhanced job board known as the TheRetailRecruiter.org, resources and a clearinghouse for research.
The theme for World Alliance for Retail Excellence & Standards’ 2013 Retail Merchandising & Marketing Conference, which will be held in Scottsdale, AZ, on April 27-30, is "Learn. Change. Grow." The selection of six retail marketing experts to shape the panel for the conference includes Sean Cook, CEO of ShopVisible; Eric Holtzclaw, CEO and founder of Laddering Works; Jennifer Kwiatkowski, director of circulation and analytics for Plow and Hearth; Dave McMullen, partner/strategic planning for redpepper; Florian Vollmer, senior vice president of design and principal at InReality; and Lisa Calhoun, CEO of Write2Market.
